The traditional Kankuama backpack is handwoven by the Kankuama and Arhuaca communities, one of the four main ethnic groups that inhabit the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia . It is then embroidered by our artisans, a team of more than 25 single mothers located in several municipalities in the Coffee Region. The embroidery is done with high-quality Czech beads. Our leather workshop begins its process by adding luxury hardware and original leather. It has a double strap, making it a multipurpose product; it can be carried by hand or even as a backpack. Its measurements are: 28cm high x 24cm wide The manufacturing process is extensive due to the precision and care with which the beadwork is embroidered, detail by detail.
